Who Should Attend?

The Frye Leadership Institute is designed for leaders in higher education, including CIOs, librarians, information technology professionals, and administrators, who are interested in working collaboratively to promote and initiate change on critical issues affecting the academy. Successful applicants will have at least seven years' experience in the field, and will be able to demonstrate leadership in the profession as well as experience with the current Institute's topic.

Participants will be selected competitively from among applicants who have a commitment to, and talent for, leadership within higher education. All are welcome to apply, including Frye graduates. The participants will reflect the variety of backgrounds and diverse expertise that constitute higher education.

Attributes of successful candidates include the willingness to explore different models and take risks, the capacity to understand the environment outside one's immediate surroundings, and the ability to apply critical and creative thinking to problem solving.
